Article 1Scope
This policy applies to the AI Text Forensics Court website (ai-text-forensics.pages.dev) and the Chrome extension "AI 文字鑑定法庭" (together, "the Court").
Article 2Examined where it lies
Text you paste, files you upload and web page content the extension reads (together, "evidence") are all examined by the detection model inside your browser. Evidence is never sent to the Court's servers or to any third party, and rulings are not uploaded or stored in the cloud.
Article 3No personal data collected
- The Court requires no sign-up or login.
- The Court contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
- The Court does not collect names, email addresses, browsing history, page content or any data that identifies you, and does not sell, rent or transfer any data.
Article 4How the extension uses its permissions
The extension reads evidence only when you click "Check this page", "Check selected text" or use the context menu. Each permission is used as follows:
| activeTab, scripting | Read the text of the current tab or your selection, and highlight the page according to the ruling. |
|---|---|
| Optional site access | Not granted by default. If you switch tabs while the side panel is open, you need to click "Allow reading pages" to grant it. Even then, the extension reads the current tab only when you start a check. |
| sidePanel | Show the ruling in the browser side panel. |
| contextMenus | Provide the context menu item for checking selected text. |
| storage | Pass text from the context menu to the side panel. The text sits in session storage that is cleared when the browser closes, and is deleted as soon as the check starts. |
| Hugging Face domains | Download the detection model. See Article 5. |
Article 5Obtaining the detection model
On first use, the Court downloads the detection model from the public Hugging Face model repository and keeps it in your browser cache. As with any web request, Hugging Face receives connection information such as your IP address and handles it under its own privacy policy. The download request contains none of your evidence.
Article 6Website hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To provide the service and block attacks, Cloudflare may log general connection information such as IP address and browser type. The Court does not use this information to identify anyone.
Article 7Local storage and deletion
The detection model, your theme setting and recent rulings are kept in your browser's cache and local storage, used only by the Court, and never leave your device. Clearing this site's browser data or removing the extension deletes them.
Article 8Changes and contact
If this policy changes, this page will be updated with a new date. For privacy questions, use the channels listed at the Help desk.
